Reporting Job Relating Injuries with OSHA 300A

Don’t forget that employers are required to post an OSHA 300A report of job-related injuries and illnesses.  This report should be posted between February 1 and April 30, 2015 and must be placed where all employees and applicants can clearly see it.  The 300A is a summary log of the details on the OSHA 300 and 301 logs of illnesses and injuries that should have been maintained throughout the year.
Make sure to note that new for 2015 OSHA reporting includes the requirement to report all work-related fatalities within eight hours and that all inpatient hospitalizations, amputations and loss of an eye must be reported within 24 hours.  Additionally, remember that OSHA is moving from tracking employers by old SIC codes and will now use the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) numbers to classify employers.
